Mackenzie Thorpe and Arthaus have a long history of involvement with charity work and good causes. We have contributed to individuals, to organizations locally, nationally and abroad. At times we have worked in partnership with an existing charity and other times just got involved because we wanted to help.

With requests coming thick and fast we reached a stage where we knew that we could be more effective in our fund raising, awareness raising and giving, and crucially we recognized that we had a real responsibility to do this. So many people have supported and helped Mackenzie along the way, we realized that we were now in a prime position to give back and help others, as we have been helped. We decided that by really focusing on who we wanted to help, and how we could best contribute we would be able to reach out to those whose needs may not be immediately visible, and really make a difference. With this in mind the Mackenzie Thorpe 'NO ONE TO CATCH ME' foundation was born,

The title 'No- one to Catch me' was born from the image by the same name. We feel this image just really resonates with those periods of time when we all feel vulnerable, when we feel we are on a life's edge and there is no-one to catch us. Mackenzie a long time ago felt there wasn't anybody to catch him ... of course there was and there is for everybody. At those times it is about making choices, looking and asking for help, facing life's challenges and more. The very essence of Mackenzie's work reflects life's journey with all its emotions. This evocative image has been seen by so many people from all walks of life who relate to its simplicity and honesty and we feel it sums up the aims of what the Mackenzie Thorpe foundation is all about.

The main objectives of the Mackenzie Thorpe foundation is to:-

Encourage and support individuals who are working towards a specific goal by developing their creative skills. This broad remit allows the foundation to consider both the granting of awards which may be purely financial (specifically directed towards contributing part or all of the costs of an educational or training course). Alternatively the foundation will consider individual applications towards the purchase of a specific piece of equipment or resource which would enable the applicant to achieve his or her stated goals.

The foundations main beneficiaries are children and young adults aged five to twenty five years with a particular but not exclusive focus on those coping with disadvantage (physical, social, educational or geographical)

The foundation will also consider applications from service providers for rexources/funding where the stated objective is for the delivery of facilities /training/creative experience to groups where the main beneficiaries are as defined above. This provision is not intended in any way to replicate funding which in the foundations opinion is covered by existing statutory provision.
